Volvo XC70 - the famous Swedish station wagon for many is a favorite model of Volvo. The XC70 station wagon differs from the usual V70 station wagon by the presence of all-wheel drive with increased ground clearance, a practical body kit made of black plastic and the image of a reliable, safe car for all occasions. There are simpler versions with front-wheel drive, but often the Volvo XC70 is sold with the AWD prefix, with ground clearance increased to 210 mm.
Today, more precisely, since 2007, the current, third generation Volvo XC70 has been produced at the Swedish plant of the company. The station wagon shares a platform with the Volvo S80 sedan and XC60 crossover. On the same, albeit modified, "cart" was created and Ford Mondeo the year before last. The platform is very successful, the Volvo XC70 is controlled very "tasty", albeit not as recklessly as the same S80 or Mondeo, after all, the mass-dimensional data of the station wagon are somewhat different.
In addition to all sorts of safety systems, a leather interior and a sunroof, the Volvo XC70 can be equipped with Four-C electronically controlled shock absorbers that can adapt to a variety of road conditions. Despite the rather advanced filling, including modern engines of the Drive-E family, the Volvo XC70 needs an heir, which is already at the finishing stage and is about to be born. No matter how good the Volvo XC70 is, it has already lingered on the assembly line, and such formidable rivals as the Audi A6 Allroad and Subaru Outback will not give odds to the Swede.
